Breakfast With Family

Feeding Program

Are mealtimes a daily battle?

You're not alone. Many families across Western Sydney come to us exhausted from the stress of mealtimes — whether their child eats only a handful of foods, gags or vomits at new textures, or becomes so distressed at the table that the whole family dreads sitting down together.

Fussy eating and feeding difficulties in children are more common than most parents realise, and more complex than simply "they'll grow out of it." For many kids, there's a real reason mealtimes are so hard — and with the right support, things can genuinely get better.

A feeding therapy team, not just one therapist

At Milestones, our feeding support pairs a speech pathologist and an occupational therapist together from day one — because feeding difficulties rarely have just one cause.

Our speech pathologist brings specialist oral motor training, looking at the physical mechanics of chewing and swallowing. Our occupational therapist is trained in the SOS Feeding Approach, addressing the sensory, behavioural, and emotional layers that so often sit underneath a limited diet. Together, they build a picture of your child that neither discipline could form alone.

What the package includes:

  • A joint initial assessment with both your child's speech pathologist and occupational therapist

  • A written summary report with clear recommendations for home and therapy

  • A block of 10 therapy sessions designed to make real, lasting progress at mealtimes

This package is available to families across Western Sydney through NDIS funding or private payment, and is designed for children aged 4 and up.
